Irish dancing – Steven Brunning
Steven was a lead dancer in the original line up of Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance and a former world Irish dance champion.
Steven now teaches at Inis Cara School of Irish Dancing and trains World champions.
He says: “I think the main benefit of Irish dancing is that it gives children self-confidence which they can use in other areas of their life. It gives them a sense of achievement and socially brings them out of themselves, allowing them to mix with other children from different backgrounds.
“We find a lot of children stay with us throughout their childhood. The social scene is a thriving one and they get to make a lot of friends.”
